'Juggler' Campaign Promotes Fruits and Veggies


morematters Fruits, vegetables and related products will soon be wearing a new label.

A $3.5 million national campaign to boost the consumption of fresh produce is being launched the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) and the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH).

The new campaign, called "Fruits & Veggies — More Matters", will introduce a new 'juggler' icon to make it easier for consumers to identify fresh, canned, frozen and dried produce that complies with accepted nutritional criteria.

A recent national survey found that only 11 percent of Americans is meeting the recommended daily intake of 5 to 9 servings.
